Where to Stay:
In our four years in Uganda, we stayed at Nkima more frequently than at any other lodge in Uganda. We stayed as a family, as a couple, with other couples, on solo parent-child trips, and as a large group renting out the whole place. The owners, Nick and Elaine, are an absolute delight; the staff is fantastic; the food is delicious; and the beauty and simple charm will steal your heart. We have enjoyed time at Nkima during every month of the year and have always found it to be a peaceful escape from the city no matter the weather.
Common Bird Sightings:
Shoebill Stork
Malachite Kingfisher
Purple Heron
